Post-doc position in Marketing (Responsible Consumption)
KEDGE Business School invites applications to fill a vacant post-doctoral position in Marketing. Profile: Quantitative marketing, alcohol consumption, psychology or applied economics.
KEDGE Business School, a leading French business school based in Bordeaux, Marseille and Paris is seeking to fill a post-doctoral fellow position for its Food, Wine and Hospitality Research Center. You will benefit from our academic environment and its partners and in particular Cornell University, Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and University of Bolzano.
The candidate will work in close collaboration with several team members on marketing issues that encompass the fields of consumer behavior and economic psychology such as i) the role of education (human capital) on wine consumption, ii) the main consumers’ drivers of a responsible wine consumption (RWC), iii) hedonic pleasure and RWC, and iv) opportunities in digital marketing and RWC.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to manage empirical projects, which require using appropriate statistical techniques (including multiple regressions, moderation and mediation analyses).
The Post-doctoral fellow will also assist researchers with their experiments; write academic papers with the goal to publish them in international peer-reviewed journals either in the marketing field or in economics. A strong experience with elite and top-field journals in either of these fields will be appreciated. An interest in the food and wine sectors would be a plus.
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Olivier Gergaud, Professor of economics at KEDGE Business School and head of the Food, Wine and Hospitality Research Center. Prof. Olivier Gergaud will share this supervision with Renaud Lunardo (Associate Prof. in marketing) and David Jaud (Assistant Prof. in marketing).
The position is initially for a period of eighteen months.
The position is based on the Bordeaux campus of KEDGE Business School. Bordeaux is an attractive and dynamic city in the southwest of France and KEDGE has been developing over time strong ties and fruitful collaborations with many professionals of the wine industry.
Salaries are in line with the recommendations the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) but also commensurate with experience.
